ASHES OF OLDBURN 1

 ASHES OF OLDBURN 2

Ashes stand for three things in Bible.

  1. Evidence: ashes is a prove that a burnt offering has been offered upon an altar and the priest who is Carrying the ashes has a prove of oldburn sacrifice
  2. Recognition: ashes marks a recognition to any priest in isreal as the priest offers a sacrifice of burnt offering he wears a garment before carrying the ashes to go and pour it out in a holy place. As he walks  to the place every isreal recognizes that this man is a priest and he has an evidence of oldburn
  3. Grief: when bad things happens in isreal the priest, prophet, Levi's etc gather together to weep for the people they rent their garments and pour Ashes on their head a sign of grief as they interceded for the people.

There are two kinds of Ashes used in the Bible

1: Tephroo: which stands for oldburn sacrifice that's evidence and recognition. Men with ashes of oldburn don't beg for evidence and recognition because their evidence calls for recognition. Once you are born again you need not to beg and strife for evidence because we have already established evidence the blood of JESUS CHRIST sacrificed on the cross of Calvary for us. For everything GOD does in the Bible there is always an ashes left there as a sign to the earth that GOD did something here and a wonder in heaven for angels to worship him. Compare 2 Peter 2:6 , with reference to the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah

2: Spodos: Which stands for grief Matthew 11:21; Luke 10:13 , as tokens of grief in assocition to sackcloth (cp. Esther 4:1,3; Isaiah 58:5; 61:3; Jeremiah 6:26; Jonah 3:6 ).
